I’ve decided to dedicate this blog to only savings and my coupon adventures and start a new one for my stay at home mommy adventures!!! I’m sure it will cross over here and there but it will be better :) I enjoy blogging. It gives me something to do and makes me feel important. Lol. Anyways…stay tuned my lovely 7 fans for the split.

1st Vocalpoint Goodies!

I got some goodies in the mail from vocalpoint today! It was a free sample of Kashi Heart healthy Warm Cinnamon cereal. I'm not a huge cinnamon fan but I figured I would try it out and review it since that is the point of signing up for vocalpoint :) And I really liked it!! My 3 year old does too! The cinnamon isn't overwhelming like a lot of things I have tried. And it is good for you which is a big positive. Along with my free sample I got 3 coupons for $1.50 off a box of Kashi Heart to Heart cereals or crackers and one coupon for a FREE Box!!! YAY for free!!

A sad day in the Stocum household

I woke up this morning to find our new parakeet Billy dead. I am heartbroken. We didn't have her long. Just got her last Saturday but her and Princess Tweet tweet were the best of friends and now Princess Tweet Tweet is just sitting in the cage not making any sounds and just sad and grieving for her friend. We are going to get another one here in a bit but I'm not sure how she will take the new friend....I guess we will try it. I just hope that he didn't have some illness that Princess Tweet Tweet could catch...

Oh how I missed my publix trips!! I didn’t make it last week so it had been 2 weeks! I was going through withdrawal.
So first my Rite Aid trip! Thanks to Ruth over at Shopping Tips and Tricks I had the BOGO Starburst coupons printed after becoming a fan of their facebook page. And she also let me know about the covergirl BOGO coupon in the insert a couple weeks ago. Matched up with the Rite Aid BOGO sales I paid $1.66 for all this!!! (Saved $28.16!!) The Starburst coupons were up to 1.10 so I had to pay a little on them plus tax.
Now to publix!! YAY!! I did spend more than I wanted but we splurged a little bit. Lula got some Barbie dishes and we bought some non coupon items that we needed too. Overall though still a super deal! Especially since with the gift card I won it was all FREE!!!My goal is to get $300 worth of groceries out of that card and I'm totally going to do that.
I spent $82.39 of the gift card and saved $211.23!!! 72% savings! It was a LOT of stuff so here are a few pictures courtesy of hubby who also happens to be the official food organizer. Thank God! Without him I wouldn’t be able to fit anything in the kitchen. lol

Please RSVP to the pity party

 I estimate that I have taken probably somewhere around 75 home pregnancy tests since April 2009. You know eventually you start seeing lines that aren’t there. You learn pretty quickly how to take apart every brand ever made in hopes that that second pink line is hiding underneath there. You will go back to check the one you took that morning hoping a line suddenly appeared even though you know the rules…do not read a test after the 3 minutes are up. For some reason you keep all the tests you take (and yes…I have all of them I have taken since the miscarriage) the ones before I threw out because it made me too sad. Friends try to help but really…the last thing I want to hear is to “relax and it will happen” or "hand it over to God” You know what….I’m kind of pissed at God right now. Don’t worry…he knows it. It isn’t a big surprise to him. I’m sure I will get over it but yeah..right now Jesus is totally NOT invited to any of my parties. Including the pity party I plan on throwing this weekend when that stupid bitch Aunt Flow comes to visit. I might put rat poison in the dip…..

God gave me what I wanted most at this point in my life…a little baby growing inside of me. Then he VERY painfully took him back. It was one of the most painful experiences of my life emotionally and physically. I think I have a right to be a little pissed. But that as it may be I still have hope and faith enough to know that one day I will understand why this happened to me. I will, one day, remember that everything happens for a reason and God has his plans for each of us. I’m just not there yet. So not there yet. Ok..I’m done. And I’m reminding myself that no one RSVP’s to pity parties…so I won’t be disappointed that no one shows…that leaves more dip for my dear aunt. Mwuahahahahhhhh

In a funk…

I’ve got to start getting out of the house more. Today I am fighting the urge to call Grandma again to come get Lula and take her to dance class. I know I won’t go grocery shopping like I wanted to already. I am determined to at least go exchange the diapers at Publix and maybe search for some coupons and then wait until Matt can go with me to do the actual grocery shopping. I also want to go to CVS and get the Huggies deal and exchange the Pull-ups I have. Got another BFN this morning but I am only 8 dpo so it is still early. But it is still disappointing…I guess I’ll look at it as more time to build my diaper stockpile! lol. Maybe another AWESOME wipes deal will come along soon!! Mwuahahaha.
