I can't get the hyperlinks to work. Boo.

Couponing Booboo *so ashamed*

As a fairly new couponer I am admitting a terrible booboo. I never realized that I was breaking a HUGE coupon rule or the consequences of breaking that rule. :*( I made copies...of IP coupons. Not like extreme amounts but sometimes it was just easier to copy that 2nd one rather then try to get my stupid laptop/printer to work and print it again. I hereby solemnly swear NEVER to break any of the coupon rules again. I really am ashamed and want to do this right and I promise it never occurred to me that it was wrong or stealing. I absolutely refuse to take peelies off products but I was stealing right out of my home. Ugh. Sorry. :(

There's a special place in hell for *YOU* people

And by YOU people I mean the little jackasses that send out internet viruses!!! I would love to talk to just one person that has purposely done this and ask them why?! WHY do it when you never know the people you are affecting and never know the situation. Why do it. I mean..it seems like a pretty chicken and passive way to be a complete and utter asshole. Ugh.

If you haven't already figured it out then I have been computerless since last week while my barely a year old laptop was getting completely wiped clean and my programs reloaded due to a worm that infected my system. Even sadder is that my brother is 99.999% sure that it came from a coupon website. Ugh. We lost pictures, programs files. EVERYTHING. Did I mention that after I asked the pathetic loser WHY they do it that I would punch him in the face? >:(

Anyways...I will try to update my shopping trips as soon as possible. I am scarily close to my budgeted amount for the month so I won't be doing too much more until February but as long as its free or close to it then I can go!!! :)

2010

I realize that we aren't even halfway through the first month but I feel like this is going to be a great year!! I really can't complain about any of my other 30 years either. lol. This is a year of big changes, more accomplishments and hopefully a growing family.

Everyday I'm home with Tallulah I love it even more. I can't believe my little ladybug is going to be 3 next month!! Wow. I am building up her Build A Bear birthday party bunches. Not that I have to work too hard on it....she LOVES Build-A-Bear!! 3...wow. 3 years old. My little singing, hugging, kissing, cuddly 3 year old. Where does the time go?

My classes for my Masters started today. Ugh. I don't know if I'm ready for it but I will take it on like I do everything else. One day/assignment at a time. Keep chipping away at it and the next thing I know I will be graduating!! Just 12 little classes. Only 10 after i make it through this quarter! Just 2 little years! lol. See....that is how you do it. ;)

Matthew and I will be married 1 whole year in just 3 short months! It has been an amazing year! If this was the hardest year then pshhhh....we are good to go! lol. I love that silly man so much! Hopefully God will be blessing us with another little baby soon. It's been two months since our baby boy Gavin went to be with God and even though I still cry almost every day over losing my angel I am ready to try again. I have all my faith in God and know he needed him back in heaven and that he will give us another blessing when he sees fit :) There is nothing wrong with praying that he hurries up and decides that it is time though! lol.

I'm going in to the old job for a little bit tomorrow but I think I'm going to go ahead and tell them that I am done. I have no motivation or desire to help them anymore. The more distant I get from them the more I realize just how wrong they were in what they did. I will leave on good terms...but I will be leaving.

Well good night all! I'll be posting again Wednesday after my Publix trip!! YAY

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Wow....I'm slow

So I was bored today and wanted to get out of the house with the family so I started working some Publix deals and headed out with the hubster and the fussy bambino. (She had pretended to sleep during nap time)

Everything went pretty much as schedule except the money making phayzme was out of stock but they will be getting more in on Tuesday so I'll go then. We also added to large jugs of gatorade to the shopping cart that we couldn't pass up. BOGO $2.50 and .55 Publix Q's. So we paid $.70 each. On to the "I can't believe I'm just NOW noticing this" stuff.

So we rang up and my total came to $10.17....quite a bit more then I expected. Even without getting my $3 overage and the $1.40 it was still more than I was thinking it should be. So I looked....the total sales was $6.25 and sales tax was $3.92!!! I paid more than half in taxes!! CRAZY!!! So I called publix and they said that taxes have to be paid on coupons. WTF. Sure enough I looked and it seems like my tax has always been high. I just never noticed. I guess I was just always happy with my savings. Which I still am!! Don't get me wrong! I still saved $74.99. But it was only 88% savings. Boo. I like hitting the 90's at least.

I think I may be spoiled...and cheap.

Order Total:6.25
Sales Tax: 3.92
Grand Total: 10.17

Savings Summary
Vendor Q's: 32.00
Store Q's: 39.10
Adv. Specials: 2.50
Adv. Buys: 1.39
TOTAL SAVINGS: 74.99

Give me my free milk!!

Well..we finally have a threat of snow here in Alabama. It figures that 2 days after leaving New York they would get a blizzard. Hopefully I will wake up tomorrow to a nice blanket!

On the home front staying at home is....FREAKING AWESOME!!! lol. I don't know why anyone would NOT want to do this! I feel productive and creative and feel like I'm accomplishing more than I ever have.I LOVE it!! Me and Lula have a little schedule worked out that keeps us on track most days. Here it is...

We had tons of fun making it too!

On the money front I have decided that we 100 % HAVE to start paying off this debt of our. I haven't ever actually read Dave Ramsey but I know the basics and we are starting our debt snowball!! We don't have a lot of extra money at all..but what we do get will go to the bills.I want to get out from this and I think hubby is on board too.

As far as the milk goes...Kroger had an awesome deal where I would get 2 free gallons of milk. Well...of course by the time I got around to clipping them (online) they were all gone. Boo. And we needed milk. Double boo. So I woke up this morning on a mission to still spend my $4 I had budgeted and get me my milk!! This is what I got at Publix..

4 eggbeaters
4 benevia drink 4 pk
4 Juicy Juice
4 Teddy Grahams/Ritz Bitz
1 Publix Tortilla Chips (penny item)
1 gallon Publix Milk

Total OOP: $ 3.74
Total Savings: $75.06

95%!!

And this trip is 4 boxes out of 10 of Nabisco crackers that I need for a $10 rebate. I'm going shopping with family this weekend and hopefully I can get their receipt to send in for the rebate.

As far as Rite-Aid goes...they are holding my Prescription Transfer gift card hostage. I dont really NEED the prescription we transferred and it cost $15 to fill. i figured that I would still end up with $10 FREE and went to get it...well...I had no money and you can't use the gift card on that purchase. It makes sense but blah. Oh well..I guess eventually I will have $15 lol.

Sunday, January 3, 2010

They do still take Save A lot...for now.It was a short list but that is what I planned to start doing now that we have a good base of food in the house.
